Slipped and missing slates, moss and a cracked ridge: stripped, new membrane and battens, re-slated in natural slate.

The original slates had done 130 years, but the nails had rusted through and the ridge had cracked along its length. We stripped it in three sections, replaced two rafters, laid a breathable membrane and new battens, and re-slated it, reusing the best old slates on the front.
